The city's Exhibition Center and Trade Fair complex is one of the most important in the world. Abroad Fiera Milano is a prestigious window for the MADE IN ITALY in the world and it has got 43 offices in 67 foreign countries. Fiera Milano has got two fair areas: fieramilanocity and fieramilano in Rho, which is a new fairground in the north-western suburb (opened in April 2005).This is Europe's largest open construction project and makes Fiera Milano the largest trade fair complex in the world. Fiera Milano organizes exhibitions and congress and gives all the services of promotion that industries need. Visitors dispose of a serie of services: 52 bar 7 restaurants and 9 self service; foreign visitors may be welcomed at Malpensa and Linate airport; a bus runs from a top to another of the fairground; there are more than 4500 places to park the car and visitors can use the San Siro car park too which is joined to the fairground by a bus; finally Fiera Milano offers the Centro Servizio in Piazzale Italia, where visitors can find a bank, a travel agency, a pharmacy, a rent car, a kiosk and much more. The new Fiera

It is the biggest industrial city of Italy, situated in the area of the ex refinery of Rho Pero. Because of its width more than one exhibition can be done at the same time. The New Fiera has got many different industrial sectors such as: manufacturing of textiles and garments, car manufactory, chemistry, mechanical tools and heavy machinery. Another important industry is tourism and of course fashion. Moreover Milan is the centre of the large book and music publishing industry, and it is the principal stock exchange of Italy. If you want to visit the New Fiera you dispose of many car parks, shops and hotels, and all the area is surrounded by a park of 9 hectares. The New Fiera is easily reached by:

As Milan is the city of fashion there are many designers: Giorgio

true fashionistas. Prada, which started as a leatherwear shop and

fashion. Valentino, whose sexy suits and evening gowns have dressed

are: Bugatti whose name representes in the world cars history the

in Italy. Concerning the press "Il Corriere della sera"
is the most important daily in Milan and "la Gazzetta dello
sport" is the ufficial paper about sport, while "il Sole
24 ore" replaced the "Financial Times" in Italy.
However Milan is also the city of television thanks to Mediaset
company which runs the commercial tv stations.
